The New Ultra-Cool Rugged Plastic Marine Coolers are redesigned for 2008.
The Engel 80-Quart High-Performance Plastic Ice Box was designed for "dirty" applications like storing fish or "wet" applications such as placement on decks. Like the Engel Fiberglass Ice Box, the Plastic Ice Box features more than 2" of polyurethane insulation for maximum efficiency, and will keep its contents cold for a remarkable nine to 11 days. Performance is identical to that of the Engel Fiberglass Ice Box. But unlike the Engel Fiberglass Ice Box, the Plastic Ice Box was designed for maximum utility and lower cost, without regard to appearance or matching deck finishes. The base of the Plastic Ice Box is raised via four neoprene feet that are nonskid, and there is a petcock on the side of the body to facilitate draining. The seamless, white plastic body and lid material is UV resistant and all metal fittings are marine-grade. The Plastic Ice Box will withstand years of exposure to the elements. The Plastic Ice Box's lid is secured with stainless steel attachments and features eyelets for securing with a padlock or two padlocks. The lid is also strong enough to sit on or stand on, and tightly seals to the body with an airtight gasket to maximize efficiency.
